Logically so, because these modern technologies offer plenty of **new possibilities**, which (hopefully) will also add value to your business.

Step two is **determining what to do with that data**. And there are a lot of possibilities there.

On the one hand, you can **use the data internally to improve your operations**. For example: optimising production processes with the help of machine learning, product enrichment with the right software, setting up automations, improving the customer experience, offering extra services … In other words, you share your data with marketing, HR, procurement, sales, operations or other departments, and they use it.
