API Architect

We are looking for someone who ...

love everything that has to do with REST APIs, integrations and digital business models.
have at least a basic knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, REST APIs, Swagger, etc. as well as integration techniques.
is interested in learning more about API management tools (Axway, 3Scale, AWS API Gateway, Apigee, WSO2, …).

Preferably you obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree and this within an IT oriented direction. In addition to Dutch, you also have a good command of English.

You realize that the next important step in digitization for many companies is to make themselves easily digitally connectable for both current and future partners. Value chains become complex eco-systems in which each player specializes in specific aspects and smooth digital collaboration makes the difference.

For a classic product or service provider it becomes very important to integrate with different customer groups in the most appropriate way for them. In addition to its own channels such as the webshop, this translates into the need for APIs and other integration patterns for marketplaces, for mobile app builders, system integrators, etc..

"THE RIGHT SOLUTION FOR EVERY PROBLEM"

You like to lead brainstorm workshops to get all the good ideas on the table. Then you draw up a solution that really helps the customer and that you, together with a development team, can actually shape. You will make a good balance between customised development and the use of existing tools and technologies. Of course, you have an eye for the specific integration, safety and performance requirements of the client, which make each solution unique.

"MORE THAN TECHNOLOGY ALONE"

Although you are certainly able to build a solution based on Java, NodeJS or other technology from a white sheet, you are certainly also interested in getting to know the existing solutions in the market (Axway, 3Scale, Apigee, AWS API Gateway, WSO2, …). You understand that many hands make light work, you like to work with very diverse profiles, from business and marketing to project managers and technology specialists.
