Obelink has been a leading player in camping and outdoor equipment in Europe for more than 50 years. With one physical superstore in Winterswijk and a strong international webshop, the company serves customers in more than 24 countries. Due to the continued growth of the range and international ambitions, it became essential to future-proof both internal processes and commercial models.

Together with Xplore Group, Obelink focused on an integrated approach, in which different competence centers each use their expertise to achieve specific business objectives.

Grip on product information and internal collaboration

The strong expansion of the range brought complexity to the management of product information. Teams were working with different tools and processes, leading to inefficiencies, quality differences between countries, and limited transparency for marketing and e-commerce.

Competence center Induxx supported Obelink in centralizing and structuring product information, with the aim of better collaboration and consistency across all channels. By introducing one central way of working, product managers, translators and marketing teams gained more overview and clear responsibilities. This allowed new products and collections to be launched faster, with consistent quality in every market.

For Obelink, this meant a clear acceleration in time-to-market, fewer manual actions and better coordination between departments. Today, the unified approach forms the basis for further expansion of the range and future omnichannel initiatives.

New commercial growth through a marketplace model

With a strong internal foundation, Obelink wanted to further grow their online sales without additional operational pressure. The choice of a marketplace model made it possible to quickly expand the offer and tap into new revenue streams, while keeping the customer experience central.

Competence center PHPro guided Obelink in setting up and integrating this model within the existing e-commerce operation. The focus was on scalability, efficiency and control over the entire purchasing process. Order and return flows were aligned with Obelink's internal operations, enabling growth without compromising service quality.

The result is a marketplace with more than 200 active sellers, a greatly expanded product range and optimized processes that reduce errors and lower costs. In addition, the platform is now able to easily absorb peak periods and international campaigns, which gives Obelink extra commercial clout.
